The Boston community is continually impressing us as more and more folks are learning about Bootstrap ( and helping us make their urban composting dreams a reality. Thus, ahead of the next few months, we are making a big hiring push to put the best team in place that will successfully serve our clients and help us succeed in our mission of keeping food waste out of landfills; creating compost for the community; offsetting GHGs through composting; and providing soil and sustainability education throughout Greater Boston and beyond. Operations Assistant Manager
Details & How to Apply:

You will be taking on a supervisory role, which requires punctuality, good communication, management and decision-making skills and a tough demeanor. You will work closely with our operations manager as you will be tasked with keeping an eye on morning workflow to ensure our drivers are ready to get out the door and visit the farm or head out on pickups. Afternoon tasks will vary but include keeping our warehouse in tip-top shape and keeping our staff motivated and happy.

We are looking for a sustainability-minded individual to help with drop-offs of food scraps at farms, kitchen scrap bucket pickups and compost delivery. The job is labor intensive but is perfect for someone looking for limited supervision and plenty of independence out on the road while serving our clients in various communities.

Warehouse Assistant
Details & How to Apply:

Your job will include a variety of tasks including cleaning buckets, lids and totes; dumping food scraps at our farms; sifting and packing compost; keeping the warehouse clean and organized; preparing buckets for delivery; stenciling buckets with our logo; and other tasks as they arise. Previous employees have created new organizational systems, enjoyed pay raises and grew into new roles with the company.
