Kitchen Garden Farm is now accepting applications for experienced farmers to join the Farm Crew at our 50-acre certified organic vegetable farm in Sunderland, MA. We grow high-quality specialty vegetables for wholesale to stores and restaurants through the Northeast. We also have a growing value-added enterprise making sriracha from peppers we grow and salsas with our own tomatoes and tomatillos, onions and chilies.
Farm Crew positions begin April or May 2017 and run until the end of November, with opportunity for year-round employment after completing a full season. We are hiring up to seven full time staff to primarily harvest and pack vegetables but also do other farm work including greenhouse seeding, transplanting, hand weeding and other field tasks as needed. The Farm Crew works closely with owners Tim & Caroline and six veteran employees who have been with the farm between 2 and 4 years. Employees gain on-the-job training and many perks including unlimited vegetables and farm lunch. Two years prior experience on a farm and valid drivers license is preferred. Ideal candidates will be passionate about good food, reliable and efficient, eager to learn, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
