The Assistant Farm Manager also works closely with the Farm Manager in determining CSA harvest; works occasionally with our Education Coordinator to integrate education programs and/or group visits into farm operations and maintain the Learning Garden; and helps staff, in conjunction with Farm Manager, to manage our weekly Farmers’ Market. Other responsibilities include greenhouse work; planting and harvesting; weeding and field prep using our walking tractors.
The Assistant Farm Manager position requires excellent people skills; attention to detail; and an ability to work independently and with limited supervision. Openness to learning new skills is essential. This is a physically demanding job requiring the ability to lift, bend, squat, kneel, bend, etc., and do so in all weather conditions.
