The following information is confidential.  We ask general demographic information because we are a grant-funded program and this information is important to our funders and for our knowledge to create effective programming.

The USDA defines a limited resource farmer as 1) A person with direct or indirect gross farm sales not more than $172,800 (for FY2013) in each of the previous two years. AND 2) A person with a total household income less than 50 percent of county median household income in each of the previous two years.  In Massachusetts this is around $50,000 for a family of four.
