Organic Certification Cost Share Program

The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources works with the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service to reimburse certified organic farmers and food processors up to 75% ($750 dollars maximum) of the total certification cost.

Funds are available to farms and food companies that are inspected and certified and/or inspected and receiving renewal of certification.

How to Get Reimbursed: Contact your State’s department of agriculture for an application. 

Assemble the following supporting documentation: proof of USDA organic certification, itemized invoice showing expenses paid for certification, W-9 tax form, and anything else required by your State.
