Part 1. Bee health presentation: when to feed, and what; overwintering and nosema prevention; best practices for varroa mites; queens.
Practical: Spring nuclei. Hands on demonstration in the field, weather permitting (bring your suits).
May 20th, 3 pm - 5.30pm
Part 2. Bee health presentation: a healthy diet, the foundation of bee health; CCD and "fall dwindle"; queen-raising and swarming.
Practical: Split off nuclei of bees started at last meeting, weather permitting (bring your suits).
Charlotte Trim has been beekeeping for over a decade, with a constant focus on bee health. With consistently above-average survival rates over the past 5 years, it is time to share her new approach to beekeeping and bee health.
