Wayland, MA Farm help Full & Part-time

Small but dynamic organic vegetable farm in Wayland, MA seeking full and part
time help for the season.  Rustic work environment at a scale where everyone
does a bit of everything. Requires intelligent, focused and dedicated workers
with sense of humor a priority.  Serving two markets and a local CSA as well
as developing projects in value added and season extension.

Full time candidate ideally would have at least one season of vegetable
farming experience and/or harvest experience.  Perfect position for someone
serious about farming and looking for a chance to take on more responsibility.
Must be able to work well as part of a group and independently and in all
kinds of weather.  Record keeping and some crew management may be required.
Availability to work some Saturday markets in Boston a plus.

Part time candidates should be able to commit to a minimum of June through
September and ideally would have some experience with physical labor or a
strong desire to work their butts off.  Help most needed on harvest days
(Tues, Thur, Fri) though work will include weeding, transplanting, other field
work and greenhouse work.  Attention to detail is critical.

This is an owner operated business and as a business, efficiency and
productivity are very important.  We grow food for members of the community
while trying to eek out a living in a very challenging way.  We work very hard
and sometimes the work can be physically difficult and draining, but we try to
support each other through humor and the shared joy of being outside and
working with the earth in a positive and nurturing way.
