    WAYLAND, MA

Three acre organic vegetable farm in Wayland seeks full and part-time help.

As we embark upon our ninth season in providing high-quality vegetables for
both suburban and urban customers, we are looking for energetic and highly
motivated individuals to join our crew.  This is a small business, so every
employee is integral to the operation and is expected to contribute fully.
Because our farm is small, employees will have the opportunity to participate
in every aspect of production.  This is a good fit for someone who would like
to learn and be part of a tight team and who also can work independently and
be self-directed.

Candidates need be in good physical condition, able to lift 30 pounds
repeatedly, have high attention to detail, enjoy repetitive tasks, be able to
work quickly over sustained periods of time, work in all weather, keep
detailed records, perform basic math and work one to two Saturdays per month
at market in Roslindale.  Public transportation is not convenient to the farm
so having a vehicle is important.  Candidates must also have good social
skills and be able to communicate openly and with respect to all other members
of the crew.

Experience is not required though experience with physical labor and/or
service work is highly beneficial.  Farm owner/manager has close to twenty
years of farming experience.  Returning crew members and managers have
multiple years of farming experience.  We built this business from the ground
up on a shoestring budget and with little infrastructure.  This farm is a
labor of love, and for the right person could be an excellent way to spend a
summer.
