Brookwood Community Farm is a non-profit farming operation and education
center in Canton and Milton, MA. Brookwood Community Farm (BCF) was founded
in 2006 with the goals of restoring underutilized farmland near Boston,
strengthening the local food system, and addressing the urgent need for
access to healthy food in low-income neighborhoods of Boston. From one acre
of land under cultivation in 2006, the farm has expanded to cultivate eight
acres using organic practices and operate a 300-person Community Supported
Field Crew will help with multiple aspects of vegetable production,
including planting, weeding, harvest, and wash. Candidates need the ability
to work long hours in all types of weather, must enjoy working alone and in
a group, have an interest in farming, and commitment to BCF’s mission and
purpose. The ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs, attention to detail,
a positive attitude, and ability to work efficiently are essential.
