CSA Manager Wanted - Cape Cod

Coonamessett Farm is a twenty-acre farming and research enterprise located on
Cape Cod in Massachusetts, USA. More information about the farm can be found

The CSA Manager is responsible for providing a diverse, plentiful share to
each shareholder of the 100-150 member CSA. The position includes work in the
office and in the fields. The CSA Manager participates in the day-to-day farm
operations, including planting, weeding, harvesting and is responsible for
packing and distributing to the CSA members, other outlets, and the farm’s
store. The CSA Manager oversees the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of
the farm’s cut flower beds.

The Cfarm CSA also partners with other farms to provide meats and cheeses. The
CSA Manager is responsible for all communications with cheese and meat vendors
including ordering, record keeping, packing, and distributing these products.
The CSA Manager maintains all communications with CSA members including
emails, web site updates, and newsletters. The CSA Manager works under the
direction of the farm’s owners and with the Farm Field Manager and coordinates
with the Farm Field Manager each week on contents and quantities of CSA
produce.

The job requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, to work outside in cold or
rainy weather, and to work holidays and weekends. Minimum requirements include
at least one year of farm experience, basic computer skills, and a good
driving record. The ability to work with people is very important. This is a
year-round job requiring a 40 to 50 hour work week in-season and less hours
during the winter months. Pay is hourly and will be commensurate with
experience.
