The Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership (SEMAP) is hosting a Storage Crops workshop, next Tuesday, October 17th from 5 - 7pm at Freedom Food Farm in Raynham, located at 471 Leonard Street, Raynham, MA 02767

Storage crops are an essential part of a four-season farm. For our final Twilight Workshop of the season, we’ll take a walk through the vegetable fields at Freedom Food Farm and look at some of their production methods for storage crops. We’ll also tour their crop storage areas and winter wash station.

Storage varieties, harvest tips, and storage methods and conditions for different crops will all be topics covered in this workshop. A can’t miss for farmers looking to generate more year-round income, or for homesteaders wanting to have a full root cellar all winter.
